Iskandar Khakimov was born in 1954 in Bukhara, Republic of Uzbekistan. In 1975 was graduated in the Bukhara Pedagogical Institute.
1976 - Teacher in the secondary school.
1978-1989 Translator - interpretator in the Youth Tourism Bureau "Sputnik", Bukhara
1982-1984 Guide in the Bukhara State Museum "Ark"
1985-1989 Guide in the Travel bureau
1989-1995 Director/leader of the creative folklore group
1995 Director of the private puppet-theatre "Humo"
1997 Director/leader of the traditional puppets workshop
